Shampooing your pet

How often do you bathe your pet? I am not just talking about dogs and horses but cats, rabbits, ferrets, and birds. I once adopted a show rooster that its former owner bathed for the shows the rooster was in. He was one of the most tame roosters that we ever had. My daughter owned the other one, a rooster she had raised from a day old chick that she even took to school for show and tell.

Shampoo that is used should be mild and not medicated for humans. That means no acne body washes or dandruff shampoos. If you do use human shampoos then use something like Dove or Ivory soap or shampoo.

Here is a tip for horse owners: I found out that Pert shampoo works wonders on getting a white horse clean.
