animals,
blog stuff
It is the 4th Anniversary of this blog. Back in 2007 I started writing about animals and have not looked back. I have changed the look of the blog several times in those years. From just a plain template to an elaborate animal photo rich one, then finally the chameleon you see today. Of course those of you who followed me from wordpress.com will remember that allthecreatures.org originally was an all animal video website before I made it into a blog.
The computers I have used to maintain this blog have gotten smaller and smaller over the years. From an old, large and heavy laptop to 2 smaller netbooks, the technology has even changed how I blog. I have even used my iPod to write a few quick posts.
I was hopeful that my blog would gain a larger audience with Amazon’s Kindle and it has.
I have added and removed pages over the years that I thought might be of use to you. Some were visited everyday, some were rarely visited at all so they went. In fact I just added another one today called “Articles” as a helpful resource for you.
As long as I am able to type and have access to the internet,I will continue to blog here for some time to come. I hope you will stay with me as I continue to entertain, educate and maybe bring a smile to your face.

blog stuff,
horse,
horseback riding

Shopping madness is over for another year, long leisurely mornings start (at least a few) and visits with friends that I have not heard from in months begin. While I ponder what I will do with a few extra hours each day for a few days in a row, I wait for the weather to get nice. You see, what I want to do is spend time with my horse outside in some nice weather but alas it is winter. I am currently looking out at a foggy forest that is cold and rain is predicted for this afternoon.
All the pets and people are warm and dry so Christmas Day will be spent waiting for my annual chocolate delivery gift from family. It is the one gift they know I don’t try to return.
Hug your pets today and keep yourself safe, your pets depend on you.

blog stuff

OK I am greedy, I want more regular readers. I have looked at my stats and see only 30+ regular readers a day. Out of the 500+ visitors this blog gets a day, that is a low percentage. It is great for advertisers who want to reach a large audience.
To increase my regular readership I have tried:
- adding different pages to the blog only to find that hardly anyone looks at them
- giving away stuff, but no one entered the contest (that was a few years back)
- thought about having Caps Hats made with the “All the Creatures” on them
I am at my wits end. I guess I should be just satisfied with what I have and just give it a few more long years before people actually start to come on back and take a look at what I write about. It is frustrating to say the least.
I will tell you this, my most popular visited blog posts did not become popular until they were each over a year old. Yes, in this world of instant success, that “instant” sometimes takes years.
