All the Creatures

I was contacted by email by someone to help promote feedpet.net so I checked it out. First I went to the website and all they want people to do is click on the “feed me” button. When I hover over it, it looks like a wordpress ad plugin, that was red flag number one. Next it does not take you anywhere but the same place with a thanks for clicking. If it was a legitimate ad clicking for money then the click should take you to the ad being clicked on. This looks like an attempt to commit fraud on an advertiser. Next I looked for any information as to who they are or who they donate to. All the clicks take me to other websites that are full of ads and little information. So then I looked up the Whois on the domain name and here is where it got interesting.

The domain name was bought in Poland and the website is hosted there too. Looks like they have no interest in animal shelters in the USA at all. So save your time and energy and DON’T VISIT FEEDPET.NET. All you are doing by clicking on those buttons and ads is lining the pockets of someone in Poland.

If you happen to know that feedpet.net is a legit website then please leave a comment and let me know. You will need to show some sort of proof like a link to a 501 non-profit listing or the actual shelter they sent money to.

The photo above has been circulating around the internet for the 24 hours. It is of Queen Elizabeth of England astride a horse. The photo was taken while the police are investigating a body of a women found near the country estate of the Queen.

While most people will think, so what, so she is riding a horse, us horse people will be shocked to find out that she, the Queen, is 85 years old and still riding. How is that for staying fit? And to think, a lot of people I know have given up riding after they hit 50 because they said they were too old for that kind of activity.

I wonder where her helmet is?

It is New Years day 2012 (I had better get use to writing that - 2012) and I am making a vow to you, my reader. I vow to write more controversial posts this year. Ones that will hit home with you. I vow to find out and write more about bad veterinarians, just like there are bad human doctors, our pets have their share or quacks in the business too. It does make you wonder if Malpractice insurance for doctors is for veterinarians too. I will find that out.

I also vow to put more news videos on the blog. I use to do that years ago but slowly moved away from it. I must not forget the funny videos too. I think that you want to be entertained as well as informed.

I vow to find more coupons for you to save money on pet food and supplies. I have not updated that coupon page of mine in some time now. I have got to do that.

I vow to make this the best animal blog ever. With over 700 posts now on the blog and you visiting at least once a week, it is well on its way.

Most of all, I would like to thank you for visiting this blog, even if this is the first time. You are what this blog is all about, animal lovers.
