I just got one of those mass emails with lots of funny dog photos. I did get one great email about cats that were dyed all different colors but unfortunately the email was saved to a computer that crashed. Maybe I should have had an online backup for that sort of thing, oh well they are gone now. In the email that had the dog photos there was a section with just crazy poodle clips. I just have to share them with you. If anyone knows the story behind any of the photos, leave a comment and maybe a link to see more about it. Without further interruption, here are the photos:
It makes me almost feel like taking up poodle clipping to satisfy my artistic side!
Another thought, how about trying out that talent on a stuffed poodle toy first, or maybe those groomers did.
remember to give your pets a hug
Till next time......

I must say it’s an art with those crazy design grooming of poodles, hope it is safe and harmless for the poodles..
wtf????? load of crap!
it doesnt hurt the poodles at all. they like the attention
they get after.
Ya. Its totally safe. They use like food coloring or koolaid and its perfectly safe and comfortable for them. They don’t mind it at all. Its usually just for contest ans shows when they get really artsy. Then they wash out the dye and cut the hair back to normal.
It’s completely harmless to the dogs unless a dog has skin allergies or a skin infection. The groomers use a non toxic dye on the dogs like Manic Panic or Adore and it’s semi permanent. They also use blow pens and non toxic chalk to do more detailed areas. Again, unless the individual dog has skin issues, there is no harm in it. There was a documentary called Extreme Poodles on TLC that followed a couple of creative styling groomers during a contest. I’ve seen a creative styling contest in person at a grooming expo and the dogs are in great health and the owners take better care of those animals then themselves haha. I’ve personally dyed one of my dog’s hair and she had no problems and she was quite thrilled with all of the attention she received. My other dog is 5 months and has skin allergies so of course I won’t use any dye on him. Besides doing it for fun and promoting one’s business and skills, the contests offer money prizes. As weird as some may think it is, before I’ve used any products including shampoo and dyes on my dogs or on my clients, I’ve tried them all out on my own hair first. If I have a reaction or it didn’t improve my hair, I never use it.
For heavens sake, they are DOGS – living creatures! What gives anyone the right to do that to them?
Can’t you use something else to satisfy your artistic tendencies? I think it’s awful – poor things.
I want to give the author standing ovation for a great job. It seems that work can be fun after all!
