The lazy dog owner’s latest product
Here you see a product that until a few days ago I was unaware that it existed. It is also a product that I see should not be used by a responsible pet owner. It is called a belly band. Its purpose is to prevent a male dog from urinating in the house. Almost every picture I have seen with a male dog wearing one of these useless products looks uncomfortable. To every dog owner that sees this as a useful product I might want to remind you that pet ownership is a responsibility and along with that responsibility comes the fact that you have to train, yes I said train your dog not to pee in the house. It is called housebreaking.
In order for dog owners that might be interested in this product I will add the words, male dog belly band review here so that this post might come up in their search engine. Much like people looking for face cream reviews I am going to play the search engine game to get the word out that products like these have no place in a dog owners home.

I agree that this is pretty ridiculous. Why would you even invent something like this? I can only imagine how much it costs! I wonder if this is even safe for a dog to wear for long period of time. It seems like that would be… harmful to certain parts of the body.
Also, it’s gross, but wouldn’t that smell?
I would not buy this, I’m sorry. This is for irresponsible pet owners.

I actually found someone that uses this on their dog. She puts a pad between the band and the dog’s penis so he is wearing a diaper. I asked her if it would encourage the dog to want to not ask to go out and just pee anywhere and her answer was “probably”. Her dog was and older incontinent dog that would just let loose anyway. I understood where she was coming from but the dog was probably very uncomfortable wearing it.
