It is the beginning of July and I am in bed with the flu!! Yes that nasty stuff that winters are usually reserved for. I was suppose to be getting 2 horses ready for some nice trail riding, but no I lay in bed, uncomfortable as hell, trying to get some rest so I don’t have to feel my body’s aches and pains.
I did drift off to sleep for about 4 hours and dreamt the most fantastic dream. Yep, fevers will do that to me, vivid dreams. One part of it I was out trail riding, more than likely because I had that on my mind already, and the ride was so smooth and peaceful. I remembered even the smallest detail of that part of the dream, like I was going to use it for future reference or something. The saddle was one of those soft cushy types with no tree. Not a bareback saddle but similar. Here is a photo of what it looked like:

The ride was pure freedom in my mind and I really hated it when I woke up. Now I can’t wait to get well so I can get some riding time in. By the way the saddle is called the Tough-1 Premium Bareback Pad and has a western cinch to keep it from slipping.
Now to try and get back to sleep to see if I can get back to that trail ride.
