KITTY STROKING

I looked into clear wireless internet deals and ended up finding a pretty good deal. Now, I can surf the web at a higher speed and can watch YouTube. My previous internet service provider was pretty slow and I had trouble when I wanted to watch a video. The video would constantly be “buffering”. I saw some pretty good YouTube videos this week. I think by far my favorite is the one where a cat sooths a crying baby to sleep. I have never seen anything like this. There is a baby in a bouncer that can’t be older than seven months old. The baby is crying pretty hard. The family pet, a black cat, runs up to the baby and plops down next to the bouncer. The cat gently begins to stroke the baby’s head with his paw. After about two minutes of the cat stroking the baby’s head, the baby settles down and the cat stops. It is really one of the coolest things that I have seen on the internet in a long time. I should have trained my cat to do that when my kids were little!

A new years vow to my readers

Posted by: Jan S  :  Category: animals, blog stuff, news

It is New Years day 2012 (I had better get use to writing that - 2012) and I am making a vow to you, my reader. I vow to write more controversial posts this year. Ones that will hit home with you. I vow to find out and write more about bad veterinarians, just like there are bad human doctors, our pets have their share or quacks in the business too. It does make you wonder if Malpractice insurance for doctors is for veterinarians too. I will find that out.

I also vow to put more news videos on the blog. I use to do that years ago but slowly moved away from it. I must not forget the funny videos too. I think that you want to be entertained as well as informed.

I vow to find more coupons for you to save money on pet food and supplies. I have not updated that coupon page of mine in some time now. I have got to do that.

I vow to make this the best animal blog ever. With over 700 posts now on the blog and you visiting at least once a week, it is well on its way.

Most of all, I would like to thank you for visiting this blog, even if this is the first time. You are what this blog is all about, animal lovers.

The Rose Bowl Parade - 2011

Posted by: Jan S  :  Category: horse, miniature horse, news

I watch the Rose Bowl Parade almost every year. I watch it for the horses that are in the parade. I remember one year that some stupid TV network decided to cut all the horse appearances from their show, they ran the commercials at those times. There have been several cable networks that showed the parade without commercials, they won me as a viewer.

This year the cable channel RFDTV will be broadcasting the parade with special attention to the horse groups. Tonight as I type this, I am watching the judging of those horse groups in a special program that RFDTV is broadcasting called EquestFest 2011.  I always wondered when the horse groups got judged and now I know. Each group puts on a show. So far I have seen the Wells Fargo Stage Coach, the minis from Arizona, Medieval Times and a Charo group.

I am hoping that their coverage of the parade is just as good as this shows is tonight. It starts at 7am Pacific time on RFDTV on January 1, 2012 and it is live.
