You are aware of the many herbs and herbal based products there are on sale for humans, well how about our pets? One of the herbs that was thought to have an affect on fleas was garlic. Many people still swear by it and there are garlic pills made and marketed for dogs and cats. Another herb that is thought to repel fleas is pennyroyal, a member of the mint family. There are many herbs that can be harmful to your pets as well as those that are helpful. It is best to arm yourself with a handy reference guide to herbs before you start giving your pet the wrong herb or overdose the animal. Below is a picture of the book "Herbs for Pets" which is scheduled to be released in June 2009.
