If you have pets and you are planning a Caribbean cruise on one of the Carnival ships then you probably have already found out that pets are not allowed on board. The only exception is "service animals" like seeing eye dogs.
One word of caution if you do have a service animal that you will be taking with you is the fact that many of the port of calls will not allow animals to enter their country without a permit or some sort of formal paperwork. You will also need to take the service animal's food along with you because Carnival will not provide the food.
So if you are planning a cruise and need to place your pets in temporary boarding for the duration of the cruise I also suggest that you add a few days to the time that pet might be boarded for delays your cruise might have.
A typical cruise can last anywhere from 5 days to 5 weeks depending on where you are traveling. Make sure you plan ahead for your pets.
