Treating your pets on Thanksgiving Day

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I have a few minutes after stuffing myself silly to write this short blog post. Of course all of our animals were treated to special food treats today – just like us humans. The dogs all got pieces of turkey meat or baked turkey skin. My husband made a special meal for his dog which included the turkey giblets.

The horses all got a warm bran mash with their early dinners this afternoon. They all dug right into their food when I brought them in from the drizzly weather.

Of course all of the animals were taken care of and fed even before we sat down to dinner. I am indeed thankful for having all my animals in good health and that our 24 year old horse is with us still despite his stiffness every morning.

Go and hug your pet and be thankful you still have them.
