Vacation with your pet

Summer is just around the corner and it is time you started to think about your vacation this year. I know that many of you are short on cash and are thinking about not taking a vacation this year. That doesn't mean you can't take off for a few days away from work or the worries of the world. Think about vacations or getaways where you can take your pet along. You will save on taking the dog to the boarding kennel and it might make for a more enjoyable getaway for you and your pet.

When you start looking for travel deals online or in person, see what they have to offer in the way of pet friendly hotels, beaches that allow pets and nearby restaurants that cater to the pet owner. Even a short day trip out hiking or a day at the beach can be pleasant with your pet as long as you plan ahead.

Also keep in mind that some areas will not allow a pet to be left in a car unattended no matter what the weather is like. Keep your pet with you at all times, that is why it is so important to plan ahead.
