The poison control center for pets

Did you know that the ASPCA has a toll free phone number for poison control for pets? It is a 24/7 hotline. Before I tell you the number you had better know that according to the ASPCA’s website, and I quote “A $60 consultation fee may be applied to your credit card”. Now how is that for a so called non-profit agency? Since when does a quick 10 minute phone call cost $60? I know that some animal welfare agencies are hurting but by charging a high fee will not only discourage callers but might put pets at unnecessary risk.
