Im a big softy

I would never make a good cattle rancher, sheepherder or any profession that requires me to kill my animals.  We live on a small area of land that is not suitable for crop growing, it is much too rocky a soil. Most of our neighbors raise goats, sheep or cattle. The local county gives a property tax break if you earn $600 or more from farming or raising livestock on your property. They do not include horses under their livestock provision. I would love that tax break but I am too much of a wuss when it comes to selling an animal to another home much less send it to slaughter.

I cannot bring myself to feed, care for and nurse when injured an animal that I plan on killing. Sorry but I just can’t do it.
