Deer in the backyard
Ever since our old black Lab passed away at the beginning of this year I have noticed that the deer have been staying longer and coming closer to the house. They (the deer) have now realized that the old dog that chased them away is no longer around. Our other dogs have never bothered the deer so the deer are not worried about them.
It was nice this morning to see a young buck grazing right near our barn and not just bounding through the property. I drank my morning hot chocolate and watched the deer. It was so relaxing.
