New designer pet for the wealthy

Cat breeders have come up with a new breed of cat called the Ashera. It has a  lifespan of 25 years and grows to 40 lbs. It is a mixture of a domestic cat, African serval and leopard. They cost between $20,000 and $28,000.

I wonder what the breeders were thinking when they made up this breed? At 40lbs it is about the size of a medium size dog. I use to have Chow Chows that weighed about 45 lbs. A house cat that would need a very large litter box and a huge scratching post unless you like shredded furniture.
