Snowball the deer – saga continues

The local TV station just reported on the evening news that the state of Oregon has spent over $39,000.00 on the case of Snowball the deer. Of that only about $900.00 was actually spent on feed, vet care and housing. The rest of that amount was in legal fees!!!! My God, Oregon state Fish and Game could have protected and saved lots of wildlife for that amount. This is simply a case of bureaucracy gone wild. The family only had Snowball taken away from them because they did not obtain a license to keep her – damn it, issue them a license! Snowball has still not been returned to her original home despite the court order that said she was to be turned over to the family that she was taken away from.
